Profile

Diana is a postdoctoral research fellow working on the ERC-funded project entitled "Illuminating the ‘Grey Zone’: Addressing Complex Complicity in Human Rights Violations." As part of this project, she explores the relation between cinema and totalitarianism in Romania (1945-1989).  Diana received her PhD in Film Studies from the University of St Andrews (2018). Her main research interests lie in the relation between films and social contexts, film style and aesthetics, European cinema, in particular Romanian and Hungarian contemporary cinemas (both arthouse and popular productions), and Slow Cinema.
